Portmeirion sits at the mouth of the Dwyryd estuary just as it joins with the Glaslyn Estuary. Its beautiful location has been used as the set in a number of TV and film productions.
Pont Croesor on the river Afon Glaslyn is the site of the RSPB hide from where the only set of nesting Ospreys in Wales can be viewed each spring rearing their young. The Aberglaslyn pass has recently been voted "The Best View in Britain" in a National Trust poll.
Morfa Harlech, meaning Harlech salt marsh, is a National Nature Reserve and beauty spot - some 16.5 beautiful acres set on the edge of Tremadog Bay - It includes a significant portion of the Glaslyn / Dwyryd estuary, important to winter wildfowl
Further into the hills, above Talsarnau 3km to the East , lies a magical stone circle

Nearby Portmadog is the home of the renowned narrow gauge Ffestiniog Railway.
